Citroen vans and Peugeot vans will offer revised versions of the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert medium vans with new engines compliant with the Euro 6.2 emissions standard. Vanman and his team of van experts takes a closer look!
PSA have updated the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert van ranges with new Euro 6.2 compliant engines. Both medium vans which are built on the same platform now start their ranges with a 1.5-litre 100ps diesel engine, whilst other engine options are 2.0-litre diesel engines delivering 120ps, 150ps and 180ps.
All engines come with a six-speed manual transmission, except for the most powerful 180ps option which is now fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the six-speed auto available previously. All engines in the range are fitted with stop-start technology.
Both vans are now available in four trim levels replacing the three previously, with the titles the same as those given to the new Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner small vans. The Citroen Dispatch is now available in X, Enterprise, Worker and Driver specs, whilst the Peugeot Expert is now available in S, Professional, Grip and Asphalt trim levels.
Worker and Grip models are the tough workhorses of the range and ideal for those in the construction industry for example.
Features of Citroen Dispatch Worker and Peugeot Expert Grip models include: a Moduwork bulkhead with load-through, dual passenger bench seat with fold-up outer seat and fold-down writing table, a 20mm increase in ground clearance, a 20mm thick sump guard, enhanced traction control system and 17-inch steel wheels fitted with all-season mud and snow tyres. Payloads of these models are both 1400kg.
Driver and Asphalt models are the new top of the range for the two medium vans and are designed at users who spend the majority of their days in their vans, such as delivery drivers.
Features of top spec Citroen Dispatch Driver and Peugeot Expert Asphalt vans include a host of standard features such as: satellite navigation and BAD radio with voice recognition, front and rear sensors with blind spot monitoring and a rear view camera, as well as a safety pack with lane departure warning, speed limit recognition, driver attention assist and Smartbeam headlights.
There’s also a Driver Assist Pack included featuring adaptive cruise control, distance alert and active safety brake and a head-up display.
Both the Citroen Dispatch van and Peugeot Expert van will also feature emergency call and assistance services as standard across both of their new van ranges.
These new models will be available in the coming months.
